I finally have the drive on my desktop and anytime it is used, the folder changes from a regular folder icon to a drive icon. Long live yr website. I > can't locate any information about the disk. One of the options in the window related to photos and Dropbox, so I completely removed Dropbox to see if that was connected - but it made no difference.
If I click on it, or check > properties, nothing indicates what it is. Using Disk Manager the only option available to assign a drive letter seems to be to partition the drive, but I would assume that this would destroy the data. If I left click on the device within Disk Managements, and select open, I can access my data. That was EXACTLY what I needed to know! March 14, 2008 Jothi thanks a lot it helped me to finish off my work and go home early. They both work fine on their own when plugged into USB ports. Strange one for me could not figure out where that drive was hidden.
