Turn off JMicron in BIOS and see if it helps. Sometimes a malfunctioning USB device can cause boot-up to freeze (but it doesn't explain why you can hit reset then subsequently boot up without an issue).... When I turn the machine on (cold boot), the drives just start, but then everything stops...period.
