The HDD spins (that means power is clearly working), but the BIOS just doesn't pick it up. A lot of times you can get this information from the manufacturer's website. I always try to ascertain if that is actually what is occurring or if it is more that the drive no longer has a drive letter attached to it. I had done everything i could think of. It's a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7, and the problem is, the BIOS doesn't see it, but when I boot from a system disk, be it Linux or Windows, then they both see I can't force a format, and I came to the conclusion that, Sure, it's in use by the operating system. If it does this means the drive has physical damage and you should try cloning it off with a forensic cloner like Speed Clone. what to do???? If so, remove it. it stay on 20% and dont get moved...

I went to Disk Management and it is showing healthy (Primary Partition). I had to go into Windows and assigne a letter (C:,G:). Now, I need to delete/ formate the old system drive C but I am not able to do so, it always comes saying that windows was unable to complete the formate.
